Paper Heroes
Is Paper Heroes free?
Yes, on Google Play it's free to play. A short ad plays before you save, load, start a new game or go down to the next floor. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off for good.
I bought Remove Ads. How do I get it back on a new phone?
Remove Ads is tied to your Google account, so it comes back by itself when you install the game on any phone signed in to the same account. If it doesn't, open Settings in the game and tap Restore Purchase.
If a payment was still pending, the ads switch off as soon as Google Play confirms it. The game checks again whenever you return to it.
Why do I have to watch an ad before saving or going down a floor?
That's how the free version pays for itself. If no ad is available, for example when you're offline, the game carries on after a few seconds. Remove Ads skips the ads entirely.
Can I play offline?
Yes. The whole game works offline. On Google Play, ads simply don't load while you're offline, and Remove Ads stays active.
Where are my saves? Can I delete them?
Saves and settings are stored privately on your device. You can delete a save on the character screen, or remove everything by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. See the privacy policy for details.
I'm in Europe or the UK. How do I change my ad consent?
Open Settings in the game and tap Privacy Options to see Google's consent form again and change your answer.
Which platforms is it on?
Android through Google Play (coming soon), and Windows (coming soon). An iOS version for iPhone and iPad is in development.
Can I use a controller?
On Windows, yes, as well as keyboard and mouse. On phones and tablets, the game uses on-screen touch controls.
Does the Windows version support DLC?
Yes. The Windows version can load downloadable content packs; you'll find them under Settings → DLC. No DLC has been released yet.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Please get in touch. Tell us your device, the game version (bottom-left of the screen) and what happened just before the bug. A screenshot helps a lot.
